Senior Project: Zarizar Website Prototype
Our senior college project was an exciting endeavor, in which we partnered with Zarizar, a young Indian fashion brand specializing in shawls, looking to penetrate the U.S market while maintaining its core values. .
The Process
From the outset, we identified that their existing website lacked a contemporary touch that could appeal to the American audience. Thus, our primary objective was to give the website a complete overhaul, preserving the essence of Zarizar while making it more relatable and engaging for a broader demographic.
To gain a complete understanding of the issues, I conducted extensive user testing on the current website. This entailed observing the user interaction with the website, noting the areas of friction, and gathering suggestions for improvement. The feedback was enlightening, revealing significant issues related to navigation, aesthetics, and overall user experience.
The Design
Using this feedback as a foundation, we developed an interactive prototype of the refreshed website. We incorporated modern design elements while being careful not to dilute the brand's unique Indian aesthetic and story. The result was a user-friendly, visually appealing website that effectively showcased Zarizar's product range and values, thus making it more attractive and accessible to the U.S market.
