Senior Project: Capstone Zarizar Pop Up Event

Our senior college project was an exhilarating journey, an opportunity to collaborate with Zarizar, a young Indian fashion brand with ambitions to break into the U.S market while staying true to its core values. Our challenge was to boost Zarizar's sales in the U.S and increase traffic to their website, all while introducing customers to the brand and its unique story in an engaging and personal way.

We envisioned a solution that was as innovative as it was immersive - a pop-up event. We aimed to create an environment where potential customers could physically interact with the product, feeling the quality and craftsmanship of the Zarizar shawls beneath their fingertips. But we wanted to do more than showcase beautiful products; this was also an opportunity to bridge cultures, to invite attendees into a rich tapestry of Indian tradition and heritage.

The event was designed using Sketchup, a 3D modeling software mostly intended for architecture. The design was then imported, rendered and animated in Twinmotion 2023, a rendering software based on Unreal Engine 5. Both of these tools were quite new to me but their simplified and familiar UI made easy to learn.

The event was designed to engage all senses, from the vivid colors and intricate patterns of the shawls to the evocative scents of Indian spices wafting through the air. Traditional Indian music would play, creating an auditory backdrop that further immersed attendees in the cultural experience.

Every element of the event was meticulously planned to forge a connection between the brand and its cultural roots, transforming Zarizar from just another fashion brand to a poignant story of Indian heritage reaching out to the global market. Through this project, we learned the power of storytelling in marketing and the importance of cultural inclusivity and representation in today's globalized world.
