Bladeless Wind Turbines
The idea was to create a sleeker wind turbine with concealed blades to reduce the overall radius of clearance necessary around the device, for an easier installation. While this particular design is meant for homes, the same idea could be applied to larger scale wind turbine.
The Idea of the concealed blades is to reduce the diameter of the rotating blades while converting the overall area into vertical length. Therefore theoretically resulting in a safer alternative while collecting as much wind.
